Looks like an entire kindergarten spilled their lunch, uniformly, on the floor. Which makes those contrasting Muppet pillows even snazzier.
Shag carpet, shag pillows-- they probably have shag furniture and shag wallpaper, too.

A carpet should look plush or fuzzy. They managed to get this one to look sticky.

The carpet is ugly, the people look ominous and zombie-like...
But I wish I was laying on some shag carpet drinking coffee with MY man. Sigh....
Dan River is still around. But I don't think they announce carpets anymore. Mostly they make home furnishings like sheets - and in the USA, too.
